Humanitarian of the Year nomination
Food for Thought was honoured with a Humanitarian of the Year nomination this year, and on Saturday 14 December Karen, Jeanne and their family, attended the 2nd annual Awards Gala. It was a beautiful evening, and humbling to be in a room with so many people who are uplifting our community. The Food for Thought team was pleasantly surprised by the nomination, since Food for Thought is only in its fourth year, but very proud to accept the nomination on behalf of all the volunteers, teachers, sponsors, and supporters who enable the breakfast programmes to run successfully.
Jeanne and Karen would like to congratulate the deserving Humanitarian of the Year Award Winner Ms Noreen Williams-McCoy who was recognised for her decades of service to the disabled community, and also the Director of the Human Rights Commission Sabrina Green and her team for a wonderful event. They would like to thank the person/s who nominated Food for Thought, their family for its amazing support, and the corporate and private sponsors – including Sotheby’s, Lew 1 Shipping, SeaCor, Al’s Services, Sunny Foods, Caicos Express, Salt Cay Ferry.
