Evening of music to help raise funds
On Thursday 21 November, under the patronage of the Chief Justice, members of the bar came together for an evening of music and giving. At the event, dubbed BARitones and BARflies, guests were treated to the musical talents of their colleagues while supporting a good cause. The funds raised from door donations, bar sales and a raffle – over $2,600 – went to Food for Thought, a charity that provides free breakfast to 450 students every school day.
Food for Thought would like to thank the BARitones and BARflies team – Carlo Mason (who conceived the idea), Gordon Kerr, Barbara McKenzie and Monique Allan – for all their hard work in putting together such an enjoyable event. Thanks also to the talented performers, the wonderful volunteers and MC, and of course to the attendees who donated generously. Food for Thought is also grateful to Beaches for donating canapes and cake, and to The Wine Cellar for their contribution to the event.
We look forward to the next BARitones evening!
